The Vote Early Day Impact
Vote Early Day is a nonpartisan movement of thousands of media companies, businesses, nonprofits, election administrators, and creatives working to ensure all Americans have the tools to vote early. This holiday serves as a unifying moment for organizations and individuals of all backgrounds to engage with voters and encourage them to cast their ballots early.
When we vote early, voters can avoid last-minute problems, such as long lines at the polls, confusing election laws, or voter disinformation, that prevent us from casting our ballots. Together, we can ensure every American’s voice is heard!
This year’s focus will be local elections in communities across the country, with a few standout state (New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, etc) hosting contests for governors, other statewide officials, and influential ballot initiatives. Unlike the congressional races that dotted the map last year, these races for mayor and city council may go unnoticed by partners, the press, and voters if we do not take action. Raising the profile of these elections, helping voters understand the importance of local races, and growing this movement will require a concerted effort by all of us. We know Vote Early Day partners are eager to rise to meet the challenge of this moment.
Under the bright lights of the 2024 presidential election, millions of voters cast a ballot on Vote Early Day alone. With your help, we make this move toward voting early the trend rather than just a momentary blip of civic engagement.
