CITY, STATE — Today [Campus/Student Group] announced they would join thousands of organizations across the country in celebrating Vote Early Day on October 29. Example

On Vote Early Day (October 29), Student Vote, a campus student group at Smithville University, will partner with the Johnson County Civic Squad to host a festival at the ballot drop box at 123 River Road. The event will have lawn games and live music from local band “The Democracy Bunch” playing from 3:00-5:00pm. People interested in attending can sign up on the Student Vote Facebook page or by emailing doug@sv.org.

[Campus/Student Group] has a goal of helping XX voters cast their ballot before Election Day either at the in-person campus location for voting early, through a ballot drop box, or by mail.

Millions of Americans have options to vote early by mail or in person, but factors like long lines, busy schedules, confusing election laws, and voter disinformation can prevent voters from casting a ballot. By celebrating Vote Early Day, [Campus/Student Group] is giving voters a fun and exciting reason to vote early and make sure their voices are heard.

“When students vote early, they ensure that they have time to plan ahead for any obstacles that might get in the way of them making their voice heard.” said Sarah Voter, Director of Student Vote. “We are celebrating Vote Early Day to make sure everyone has the tools they need to cast their ballot this fall—and have a good time while doing it!”

[Campus/Student Group] is proud to be one of a rapidly growing number of nonpartisan organizations who have joined Vote Early Day to empower their communities. To learn more about Vote Early Day and how to join the movement, visit their website at www.voteearlyday.org.
